HEATHER HILL
ABOUT
weaving light into sound

Heather Hill is a soul-stirring pianist, vocalist, and songwriter whose music emerges from the quiet magic of the Blue Mountains, Ontario. Nestled near the shores of Georgian Bay and surrounded by forest, she writes from a place of deep connection to nature, spirit, and emotion. With her piano room overlooking the trees, Heather breathes in the stillness of the land—and breathes it back out through haunting melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and vocals that soar with raw power and grace. Her music reflects a lifelong journey of seeking, healing, and sharing love through story and sound.
Her musical path has carried her from New York City’s vibrant scene to Toronto’s most beloved stages. Heather has performed at The Cutting Room, The Makor Room, The Bitter End, and CBGBs in New York, as well as at The Gladstone Hotel, C’est What, The Drake, The Horseshoe Tavern, and Hugh’s Room in Toronto. These performances, infused with her signature warmth and authenticity, have established her as a powerful live performer with the rare ability to connect deeply with her audience.
Heather’s discography traces the arc of her creative and personal evolution, with albums that mirror the chapters of her life. Listen (New York City, 2005), Leuty Station (Toronto, 2012), and We Are the Same (Toronto, 2022) reveal her voice as a peacekeeper, mother, intuitive, and creative entrepreneur. Her latest release, Twilight Mist (2024), is her most intimate and visionary project yet. Written, performed, and produced entirely in her forest sanctuary, the album is a 13-song journey through the chakras—an offering of hope, rebirth, and renewal. Ethereal and cinematic, it invites listeners into liminal spaces: a crossing at twilight from the seen into the unseen, from earth into the mystery.
ELEMENTAL EARTHY ENCHANTED EARTHY

A lifelong lover of songs, Heather has devoted herself to nurturing both her own writing and the songwriting community. She has led the Toronto Songwriting Guild for the past few decades, mentoring and supporting fellow artists while celebrating the enduring power of song as a vessel for truth and connection.

Heather’s music has been recognized on the festival circuit—her song Love was awarded Best Song at the Love Wins Film Festival (2023)—and has been praised for its soundtrack quality, blending classical orchestration, world rhythms, and contemporary folk-pop sensibility. Beyond accolades, Heather creates from a place of service. For her, music is not only art but medicine: a way to channel light codes, healing frequencies, and words into sound that uplifts and transforms.
Today, Heather continues to expand her artistry, composing songs for film and TV sync projects while performing and collaborating with other musicians. Each performance, each song, is both prayer and portal—crafted to awaken, soothe, and illuminate.
